Institutional Communication Service
On Saturday, 12 September, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, the Bios+ facility in Bellinzona will open its doors to the public for a day dedicated to exploring scientific research. It offers a chance to step inside the laboratories and gain first-hand insight into the work of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB), the Institute of Oncology Research (IOR), and the Institute for Translational Research (IRT), all affiliated with USI.
The open day, hosted at the Bios+ facility on Via F. Chiesa 5 in Bellinzona, will give the public access to the very spaces where researchers work every day to advance biomedical, oncological, and translational science.
During the event, visitors can tour the laboratories, explore the research programmes across the three institutes, and meet team members to learn more about their daily work and connect with the world of science.
The day promises a journey through science, imagery, music, and human connection, offering a direct look at where breakthroughs happen and the vital work carried out by IRB, IOR, and IRT.
