Castelgrande Lecture 2026: Prevenzione è rivoluzione

The seventh edition of the Castelgrande Lecture, promoted by the Bellinzona Institutes of Science Association (Bios+), will take place on Tuesday, 12 May 2026 at 5:00 p.m. in the Arsenale Hall of Castelgrande in Bellinzona.
On this occasion, we will be honoured to welcome as our distinguished guest Prof. Silvio Garattini, an internationally renowned physician and pharmacologist, founder and president of the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research in Milan.
A leading figure in European biomedical research, Professor Garattini has devoted his long career to the study of medicines, the promotion of scientifically rigorous research, and a strong commitment to fostering a culture of prevention and public health.
The lecture, entitled “Prevenzione è rivoluzione”, will offer a reflection on the value of prevention.
The event will be held in Italian, will be open to the public, and will be followed by a reception.
