NERD PROJECT KICK-OFF MEETING - Next Generation Diagnostics: a cross-border network for the development and transfer of molecular methods in precision oncology

NERD is a cross-border network of leading academic institutions and industrial partners in the region for the development and transfer of molecular methodologies for precision medicine in oncology, created to address the challenge of highly aggressive tumors in Lombardy and the Canton of Ticino. The IOR, with its Experimental Therapeutics Group led by Prof. Carlo Catapano, is proud to be part of this transnational collaboration.
Through the integration of research, healthcare and business, we set ourselves three main objectives:
- Expertise integration: integrating technologies and competences in drug discovery and precision oncology to accelerate clinical translation.
- Advanced diagnostics: developing a multi-omics digital platform that uses genomics and AI to personalize cancer treatments.
- Excellence in training: creating training programs for the next generation of precision medicine specialists.
This kick-off meeting is an opportunity to bring together partners, stakeholders, and the scientific community to share the project’s objectives, activities, and next steps.
