The position offers excellent scientific opportunities in a highly stimulating, interdisciplinary environment involving close interactions between medical and basic scientists.
More specifically, the candidate will have the opportunity to functionally investigate and exploit recent discoveries emerging from transcriptomic and proteomic profiling of prostate cancer progression using state-of-the-art technologies (e.g., scRNA/ATACseq, mass-spectrometry) in ex vivo organoid cultures, patient-derived xenograft models in vivo, and clinical tissue samples (e.g., PMID: 34857732). Projects include the follow-up of modifications in key proteins related to gene expression regulation and mRNA splicing as well as putative drug targets aimed at preventing disease progression.
